PERFORMING CAREER
Itamar Esformes is an Israeli-Greek classical pianist and collaborative artist based in Los Angeles. He is currently pursuing an Artist Diploma in Piano Performance at the Colburn Conservatory under the guidance of Prof. Fabio Bidini. He holds both a Master of Music and a Bachelor of Music (Summa Cum Laude) from the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music at Tel Aviv University.
As a soloist, chamber musician, and collaborative pianist, Itamar has performed throughout the United States, Europe, and Israel. Career highlights include appearances with the Haifa Symphony Orchestra and the Buchmann-Mehta Symphony Orchestra, broadcasts on Israel's National Jerusalem Radio Station, performances at the Aspen Music Festival and School, participation in the Art of Song Festival at the Colburn Conservatory, and numerous solo and chamber recitals.
An award-winning artist, he has received First Prize in the Buchmann-Mehta Piano Concerto Competition, First Prize in the Chamber Music Division and Third Prize in the Solo Division of the Pnina Zaltzman National Piano Competition, as well as scholarships and fellowships from the Israeli-American Cultural Foundation, Colton Fellowship, Ronen Foundation, Hurst Fellowship, and Polonsky Foundation.
Beyond the stage, Itamar is actively engaged in arts leadership and cultural initiatives. He has collaborated with the Colburn School's Philanthropy Team in cultivating donor relationships and community partnerships and initiated a collaboration between the Israeli Consulate and the Colburn School dedicated to preserving and promoting the music of Jewish composers during the Holocaust.
Whether performing as a soloist, chamber musician, or collaborative artist, Itamar is committed to creating meaningful musical experiences that connect audiences with the depth, beauty, and humanity of classical music.

TEACHING & EDUCATIONAL WORK
Alongside his performing career, Itamar Esformes is a dedicated educator committed to helping students develop both artistic excellence and a lifelong connection to music. Drawing from his extensive performance experience, he offers an approach that combines technical development, musical understanding, creativity, and individualized mentorship.
Itamar has taught students of all ages and levels through the Jump Start Program at the Colburn Conservatory, the PALS Program at the Aspen Music Festival and School, and in private studio settings. His teaching philosophy emphasizes building strong musical foundations while encouraging curiosity, confidence, and artistic individuality. Lessons are tailored to each student's goals, whether they are beginning their musical journey, preparing for auditions and competitions, or pursuing advanced artistic development.
Through teaching, performance, and educational outreach, Itamar is dedicated to inspiring the next generation of musicians while fostering meaningful connections between music, history, culture, and community.
